Encrypted FTP (EFTP) is an FTP server-client application for Windows based systems. The encryption must be used for Client and Server sides. With no encryption added (in the no encryption mode), the application can work with any other standard FTP server or client.
The main feature of this program is the safe encryption of anything that is transferred, any way between local user PC and an FTP server site. No longer data is transferred as plain text.
Encryption is ensured by using RFC 959, RSA and Blowfish encryption. Data is protected before it is up or down loaded over a TCP/IP network. At the control cahnnel, each and every command coming from an FTP Server or from and FTP Client are encrypted to avoid that an intruder can read or intercept them, before any user authentication. In addition, the data channel is protected as well so all the data transferred are secured. Data is encrypted on the fly and no stranger or protocol analyzer could decrypt them.
The application offers an Intruder Detection feature, which bans IP addresses that are trying to authenticate, after a number of ilegal attempts.
Interrupted data transfers (downloads and uploads) are automatically resumed.
Both Server and Client sections of the application are easily customizable. Messages are automatically created whenever a login or logout occurs, a download or upload operation is finished or detected, etc.
User interface is very intuitive and easy to use. Supports IP restrictions and keeps a banned users list.
